- If you have a pet project already that you're scientifically interested in, what is it?
- Any administrative constraints (e.g. from your BSc courses)? Available dates?
- Please take the time to THINK about what you want before we meet:
- What is your REASON for wanting to do a BSc/Msc thesis, i.e. what do you plan to do afterwards? Do you want to find a job, continue in academia, etc.? Here, internationally?
- What are the SKILLs you (a) bring and (b) wish to acquire during your thesis? Are there any particular TECHNIQUES you want to learn? This includes lab as well as analysis (computational) skills?
- What are your key INTERESTs, i.e. is it plant diversity, evolution, genetics, biochemistry, morphology, ecology, chemistry, genomics, bioinformatics? Do you see yourself working on a computer, or in the molecular lab, or analytically, or doing fieldwork?
- How much effort do you see yourself investing in this?
