Research projects
Broadly, we are interested in adaptative evolution at the molecular and organismic levels and how processes at different biological scales contribute to the biological diversity. Specifically, we are interested in obtaining an integrative understanding of how pollinator-driven speciation contributes to angiosperm diversification, with a focus on the sexually deceptive orchid Ophrys. We have projects on …
- Flower morphology and pollinator behaviour
- Evo-devo of pollinator-relevant floral traits
- Biochemistry of alkene-based pollinator attraction in Ophrys
- The Ophrys genome
- Genomics of pollinator-driven speciation
- Food-deceptive pollination in Orchis militaris
- Floral patterns, genetics and pollination in Iris sibirica
